"Absolutely wonderful to have a home cooked type meal. Great menu offerings and specials. Great prices. Welcoming feel when you walk in. Our service started very good. Our server was informative and friendly. We were going to get breakfast for dinner but she told us about the specials included full courses and dessert. We ordered the roast chicken special $11.99 and it included both soup and salad and dessert. The meal arrived smothered in gravy even though I advised that I couldn't have dairy. When I say smothered, it was blinding the meal. I scooped off a cup and saucer full. The chicken fell off the bone so much so that you had to be very careful not to eat the small backbones. Overall heavy too salty chicken decent.. dressing had the chicken on top with that caution of bones and was a strong flavored dressing. I asked for extra napkins and after we were done eating plus another 15 minutes I had to go get our server. She had offered no refills of coffee either. ..Dessert offering was rice pudding, ice cream or jello..only exception offered was applesauce even though they have a huge dessert offering ..didn't get any and was disappointed. I would go back for home cooking, but wouldn't expect exceptional service."

"The atmosphere here has. Improved considerably! However be aware of your order when you receive it! I ordered a Chicken salad croissant! The texture of the Croissant seemed dried out, With the first bite something seemed extremely off. I decided I wasn't really satisfied with it, and decided to get a small carry-out container! When at home I opened the box, the croissant had an old - bread smell! I couldn't recognize "chicken salad filling". Using a fork I EXAMINED the contents. To my shock there was NO CHICKEN SALAD, however coleslaw!! That had a sour odor, next time I went there I told the head waiter about it! His only response was " why didn't you bring it back"? I didn't want to return for 4 undesirable bites! I learned my lesson, I will go there again with my group I was with that day, perhaps a cup of tea and a piece of toast will suffice, and be a safe choice!"
